City of Toronto on Canada Day Weekend

As we start into the  most important Summer weekend with a GARBAGE STRIKE overshadowing the City as well as a failed City of Toronto deal with the FEDS (it seems that Mayor Miller and Councillor Adam Giambrone have problems reading), we are told that Public Parks are to be used to store garbage and that CANADA DAY Festivities on City property are also cancelled. Maybe I’ll go to Etobicoke (they have private garbage collection) for the weekend!

There is good news however: we are also told that the Teflon Mayor’s support has been waining…go figure!

One doesn’t have to read many of my Blogs to know that I believe that David Miller is a nice guy but has been a disaster for the City of Toronto; We are all paying more taxes than before, we are paying for our Garbage collection separately (it was included in your taxes before), we now have a faulty Land Transfer Tax and Car Licensing which encourages buyers to move to the 905.

Mayor Miller and his tribe have decided that by frustrating car owners and minimally increasing rapid transit, we are making the City more livable?

He is convinced that the economy is to blame for the huge increases in costs at City Hall. That is a cop-out. Any business person could have told him that in good years you have to continue to watch costs to prepare for changes in the Economy. In good years and in bad the Budget has increased.

We need a change and we need it this coming election. Please do not give this Mayor and his henchmen a third term. I would like to enjoy the City again next July 1st weekend!

   What about paying for the garbage and blue boxes too..
   Mayor Miller cares about his Street Cars he didn’t even cross the picket line he went straight down to
   the Metro Convention Centre instead..Let us know if you go to Etobico where they are paid a heck of a lot
   less than the Toronto Garbage pick up..But at least
   we have the Fireworks at ONTARIO PLACE TONIGHT…

   Richard where did you get these great photos of Canada
   Day..!!! I agree if the taxpayers are paying extra for the garbage containers and recycling bins they should take it off the taxes if it lasts for more than
   a month.. Etobicoke garbage men get paid 17.00 an hour
   for their pickups…You should be at city hall with all your knowledge on how it works..
