My New Favourite City in America!!! San Diego!!

We just got back from a Conference in the United States and hands down my new favourite City in North America is San Diego. It is not overly large, has Hills, Ocean, Islands (Coronado), Suburbs (La Jolla), a great restored Downtown (the Gaslamp District) that is actually walkable, an Airport within a $10.00 taxi ride to the Downtown, and a kick-ass San Diego Zoo…(Sea World was just OK)… but the San Diego Zoo was great experience.
20,000 REALTORS descended on the City for our annual International Conference and the City adapted, hosted, and shone. The first day we toured the Historic sites on a Trolley Tour, went to the famous and incredible Balboa Park (originally built for a World’s Fair celebrating the opening of the Panama Canal), Coronado Island and the Old Town, dating back to the early settlers.
The next day we went to the Zoo and took an “Inside Look” (Video to come) and worth the extra money to be escorted by a Games-keeper who spent 2 1/2 hours touring us behind the scenes…
Then 4 days of learning, networking, and trying to grasp new trends coming up in the Real Estate Industry…but every time we left the building we had temperate weather, outdoor eating at night (with a sweater or jacket) and more Sun in the 7 days than we could have hoped for….a huge hit of Vitamin D!
It is the first time that the National Association of REALTORS conference was held in San Diego and I’m sure it will not be the last…
