The New Regent Park

onecoleWe were promised it for years but it really looks as if it is happening!

Regent Park, long a Ghetto in Downtown Toronto is now being redeveloped with new Rental construction, streets that open up it’s previous isolation, Community Facilities and Green Condominiums.

Last Saturday the sales started at One Coleand the presentation centre at 300 Dundas Street East was lined up. Whether you are looking or not, I suggest you visit the Presentation facility and see the site plan of the stages of the redeveloped Regent Park. It is impressive and should it all come to fruition over the next 10 years, will certainly change the Downtown core by its example and character.

It  serves the provide the similar amount of geared-to-income housing and is an impressive venture of the Private and Public sectors working together. Feel free to add your thoughts after you check out what is proposed.

Here is a great article on BlogTO as well. Click here!

Richard would you spend 189 thousand dollars for a
condo in the middle of Regent Park.. How long before
it is ruined by the people that live in the neighborhood.. ??? It would be nice to have both
buildings be demolished first… because it would
be like putting Regent Park building in the middle of Yorkville

I think you will be surprised in the years to come. The model at St. Lawrence Market has worked and the Condos there have held their value. Take a look at the Site plan and you will be impressed.
