July 2014 has brought a significant growth of sales and the average selling price to Toronto’s market. Sales reported by TREB through the TorontoMLS system were up by 10 per cent to 9,198 in July 2014 in a year-over-year comparison. Sales were up for the most major home types. The average selling price for July 2014 was $550,700, which is a 7.5 per cent increase compared to July 2013. The strongest price growth was in the detached market segment, with a year-over-year increase of 11 per cent.
As the most recent stats show, this has been an unusually busy summer and almost everything has flown off our shelves….and for excellent prices. I for one, cannot remember a busier July. In between the sales we are preparing for an interesting August and September. We will have some interesting new listings coming up to share with you so make sure you visit Torontoism on a regular basis…we also hope to premiere some interesting Technology for home sales and marketing.
