Last weekend the Cabbagetown community has come together to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the annual Cabbagetown Festival. The Cabbagetown festival of arts is one of the longest running festivals in Ontario. It’s an event that brings the whole community together. Families, tourists and local shops and businesses come together to celebrate the famous Cabbagetown community spirit.
The Torontoism team is a big supporter of the Cabbagetown festival, so we visited it again this year to celebrate the anniversary and to meet the winner of the Richard Silver Special Award for Arts and Crafts. We’re going to introduce the very talented Dayna Gedney on the Torontoism website and in detail soon, but for now, here are some photos from the festival.
We also had the pleasure of meeting last year’s winner Pamela Lauz at the event.
Pamela won the Special Richard Silver award in 2015 and you can read more about her and her business here. She makes amazing jewellery, so if you’re in a need of a great present, make sure you visit her store.
