Portraits in COVID Times: Documenting a Nation in Change
Presented by: Harbourfront Centre
The photographs featured in this exhibition were taken between March and October 2020. They show how Canadians are living through this significant moment in time. Represented are a selection submitted to the Canada COVID Portrait online project, which launched in April 2020, inviting citizen and professional photographers alike to participate with the goal to create a visual record of this transformative period. The resulting exhibition touches on all aspects of our changed lives – family, work, leisure, sports, culture, religion, celebrations, health, transportation and political engagement. Each photograph speaks to the ingenuity, kindness, grief, humour, hope and creativity that have emerged from our shared pandemic experience.
“A Like Vision”: The Group of Seven at 100
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Group of Seven’s first exhibition, McMichael Executive Director Ian Dejardin dives deep into the Gallery’s extensive Group of Seven holdings to present a monumental survey of the Group’s work.

Toronto, a love story in words and music
February, traditionally, is the month our thoughts turn to love… and shovelling snow! This February, StoryFusion Cabaret! invites us to focus on tales and tunes about the city we call home.
Toronto, a love story in words and music, takes place on Thursday, February 11 at 7:30pm, EST, and will be hosted by Toronto cabaret performer and historian, Bruce Bell. This 90-minute online presentation will feature members of the Backseat Balladeers telling tales and sharing songs about ‘Toronto the Good‘ (and not-so-good), and original comic ditties written by Canadian musical-theatre legend, Jim Betts.
Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can with a suggested price of $10.
This is an online presentation and will take place on Zoom. Virtual Event.
