2025 Chinese New Year Celebration

This vibrant event, widely celebrated across Asia and Southeast Asia, offers a unique opportunity to share the richness of Chinese culture with the broader community. Over the celebration, visitors can enjoy lively performances, engage in cultural activities, and soak in the festive atmosphere.
Highlights include the traditional Lion Dance, the God of Fortune parading through the neighborhood, live singing and dancing, and multicultural booths featuring diverse traditions. Everyone is welcome to celebrate and experience the excitement of Chinatown.

Black History Month: New Words at Colborne Lodge
To honour Black History Month, join renowned poet Desiree Mckenzie as she creates poetry that responds to questions about racism, colonialism, Indigenous Land, and gender inequities. Drop in and discuss the creative process and historical inspiration that fuels a personal response to ongoing colonial legacies. What is left out of what gets told as history?
Can a poetic understanding of the truth of the past help to make sense of the present?
