The 74th annual Canadian International Air Show returns to Toronto’s Waterfront.This Labour Day weekend, don’t miss out on astonishing aerial performances that honour Airforce veterans, including a rare double header of two iconic jet teams, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, who haven’t been in Toronto for 14 years.

Toronto International Film Festival – TIFF

The Toronto International Film Festival returns in September 2023 for its 48th edition — 11 days of international and Canadian cinema, special events featuring some of the biggest names in film, and TIFF’s Industry Conference, offering diverse and innovative perspectives on the art and business of film.

Gala and Special Presentations programmes: films representing 70 countries from around the world, shining the spotlight on imaginative storytelling, exceptional performances, and out-of-the-box filmmaking. The first wave of the 2023 Official Selection features 37 World Premieres, 7 International Premieres, 12 North American Premieres, and 4 Canadian Premieres.

The infamous Midnight Madness lineup features 10 titles, 7 of which are World Premieres. The Discovery lineup, which primarily boasts World and International Premieres, includes 26 titles. Notably, 13 female filmmakers representing 50% of the total programme are featured in this year’s Discovery programme.

 Toronto Waterfront Festival – 2023

The Toronto Waterfront Festival will celebrate the last weekend of summer by featuring unique onland and on-water programs and the World’s Largest Rubber Duck.

Get up close and personal with Mama Duck who will be nesting on land at 7 Queens Quay East.

Other festival programs include:

• The Canadian Armed Forces who are rolling in with two massive armoured vehicles the TAPV and the LAV 6.
• Visit the HMCS Oriole vessel on water and meet the Royal Canadian Navy crew on land.
• Pop-up entertainment throughout the weekend presented by Redpath Sugar.
• Snap a selfie with Live Green Toronto’s mascot and hear their Environdrum band.
• Grab a bite to eat from one of our local food trucks and enjoy it in the Billy Bishop Airport Picnic Lounge.
• Additional fun activities and photo-ops provided by our wonderful partners.

2023 Nuit Blanche Toronto

For one sleepless night, the familiar will be discarded and Toronto will transform into an artistic playground, offering a series of exhilarating contemporary art experiences in unexpected public spaces.

Nuit Blanche Toronto is the city’s annual all-night celebration of contemporary art, produced by the City of Toronto in collaboration with Toronto’s arts community. Since 2006, this award-winning event has featured nearly 1,300 art installations by approximately 4,600 artists and has generated over $268 million in economic impact for Toronto. Nuit Blanche Toronto is a 10-day program which includes the Nuit Talks series and Extended Projects.

2023: Nuit Blanche Toronto returns September 23 showcasing ‘ground-breaking’ art

The all-night celebration of contemporary art will feature exhibitions in Etobicoke, downtown Toronto and Scarborough, with more than 80 art projects from close to 250 artists from a variety of disciplines. Entry will be free for the public to engage with the art projects.
