Winter Nature Hikes- Time Travelling in High Park

The High Park Nature Centre is offering guided hikes on Saturday afternoons this winter season.  We invite you to build your friendship with nature by exploring the many gifts and riches found in all four corners of High Park. Find your way around, discover different habitats and use all your senses when enjoying nature with a bunch of curious folks in the middle of a big city. We will learn about, play and track nature together while leisurely hiking the park. This program is family friendly. Please note, not all trails we use will be stroller or wheelchair accessible.

Valentine’s Soundtrack

It’s music you love, with the one you love! Bring your sweetheart—or your pals—to beautiful Roy Thomson Hall for a night to remember as the TSO serenades you with the most romantic songs from musical theatre and the silver screen, including “My Heart Will Go On”, “I Will Always Love You,” “All of Me”, and favourites from The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, and La La Land. Skating at The Bentway Skate Trail

The Bentway welcomes back local neighbours and city-wide visitors for another winter of fun and skating! The Bentway Skate Trail’s 220-metre figure-eight loop will open for skating with skate rentals, hot drinks, special events, free skating lessons, and public art.

Winter Fitness (In-person)

Warm up this winter while making a stronger, healthier you. You will practice standing movements designed to increase balance, agility, alignment, and strength. These exercises are gentle and thoughtful, focusing on whole body movement to prevent pain, falls and all-around creakiness. You will feel great after an hour of a little moving, a little stretching, a little weight work and a whole lot of fun!

WANDERLUST | Around the World in 80 Photographs

As the pandemic continues to thwart people’s propensity for travel, many are dreaming of visiting places far and wide. Continuously amazed at the way photographs transport us elsewhere, “WANDERLUST, Around the World in 80 Photographs” consciously looks at images made around the world to satiate a desire for travel. This exhibition holds French poet, playwright, and novelist, Jules Verne in mind via the carefully selected 80 photographs by the Bulger Gallery team that offer a circuitous journey around our globe.
